PINK PARCEL SUBSCRIPTION BOX – APRIL REVIEW

So as you all know by now I love the PinkParcel Period Subscription Box. Tonight’s review will be about April’s box.

Although I don’t usually have any issues with this subscription box this month’s arrived a few days late, meaning I actually haven’t even used this months necessary products because I had to find some elsewhere. Looking at the positive side though it means I’ve got spare for the future!

April Box Overview:

  1. YOUR TEA “Sleep Tea – I LOVE trying new tea every month, it just makes me so happy. I have heard of the brand “Your Tea” before but I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything from them unless it’s came in one of my subscription boxes. I was very interested about this teabag this month because it’s supposed to relieve you of stress and anxiety before you go to bed. I am saving this for my trip to Dundee at the end of the month (my anxiety doesn’t end up being the greatest in new places etc). Also Gluten Free.
  2. CONSCIOUS CHOCOLATE “Essential Orange – This chocolate is organic, vegan and raw, it is also high in fibre and free from refined sugar. I do love an “orange” tasting chocolate to distract me from the fact that it is dark chocolate and I absolutely loved this one! I’d definitely purchase this again and hope to see more in future boxes!
  3. PIFF PAFF PUDDING POT “Milk Chocolate – OMG this is the cutest and yummiest chocolate creation ever. Almost as good as a Cadburys’ Easter Chocolate Egg! I absolutely loved this and have even been on their website to look into purchasing more as cute little gifts for people as part of “self care” packages I’ve been making recently (and some for me obv!)
  4. PATISSERIE DE BAIN “Caramel Whip” Hand Cream – Well this smells good enough to eat, but it does state on the packaging that you shouldn’t…I may use this as a giveaway or put it in a self care package because personally I’m not a big fan of hand creams. This scent though is just mmm so lovely!
  5. HIKARI LIPSTICKS “Cranberry – Although this colour is beautiful it is just too dark for me, looks similar to a plum shade. Unfortunately for me definitely have to give this away but looks gorgeous.
  6. LAVERA ALL-ROUND CREAM – Loving the creams this month are we PinkParcel? well this is an interesting looking moisturiser which is also organic and vegan for those of you who’d prefer to know. The sample size they have provided is a great travel size but due to me being so weak on the day I received the box I was unable to open this sample size tin. (still yet to open officially).
  7. DOVE PURE CARE DRY OIL CONDITIONER – I thought this was clever of PinkParcel to put the “Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Shampoo” into March’s box. I hadn’t been able to use the shampoo so my plan is to take both sample size/travel size shampoo and conditioner away to Dundee for me, lighter for me to carry and looks so good. For dull, dry hair – I wouldn’t say I have dull or dry hair but it’ll be nice for my hair to have a good moisturise.
  8. HAIRON TIES – In the little box that we received you got X3 of the “none crease” hair ties. They look small but once you’ve put them in your hair they do expand. My only trouble was that my hair seemed to get caught and was harder to take out than a normal bobble.

If you want to check out PinkParcel for yourself – It is £10.50 per month (Including P&P) and it’s only £6.99 (Including P&P) for your first box to try. Click on this link to go straight to their website’s “How It Works” page for more info.

LOLA APOTHECARY – CLEMENTINE CALAMITY RELAXING WELLNESS TEA REVIEW

2017-03-24_22.32.59A few months back I received the Lola Apothecary – Clementine Calamity, Relaxing Wellness Tea in my PinkParcel. I do enjoy receiving various tea types and brands with
PinkParcel, never fails to surprise me.

What I noticed first was that this packaging was just lovely, reminded me of an old fashions design but intriguing for me all the same. This is a tea made from all natural ingredients and flavours.“Sunny Orange & fruity Apple on a delicious base of 2017-03-24_22.36.03antioxidant rich Honey Bush” – now what isn’t intriguing about that?

The smell when I opened the packet was beautiful, lovely and natural. I liked that in the actual bag itself you could pick out some of the ingredients as shown in the photographs. Once boiling water was added the water instantly began to change colour due to being infused with all of these beautiful ingredients and flavours. After 6 minutes of brewing it went to a deep red berry colour, the smell was still lovely too. I did quite like the taste, if healthy was a description of taste then it would taste healthy (similar to when you’re having Green Tea…I hope you get what I mean because otherwise you’ll think I’m a dafty – which I kind of am I suppose)

PINKPARCEL SUBSCRIPTION BOX – MARCH REVIEW

I have been receiving the PinkParcel subscription box for about 6 months now and even on their less impressive boxes I have never felt like I’ve wasted my money in any way. I will definitely be continuing my subscription, every now and then they throw in extra surprises (before Christmas they gave us a LOOK magazine for a few months for the same price!) I love PinkParcel and I am so happy that I seen YouTube reviews and Blog posts promoting them because now I am so much happier and get surprise presents EVERY month as well as the necessities.

This months box if you bought the full size product of everything they sent would cost about £45 and we only pay £10.50 for them PLUS the towels/tampons (whatever your preference is).

2017-03-10_18.17.42

I do tend to share some of my products though if I feel that friends and family will enjoy them more or will actually use them, the things that I just do not want myself I keep aside and put together “Self Care Packages” for friends and family too (To Mum: I know you read every post of mine so I thought I’d also mention – I did also buy you things for your mothers day AS WELL AS giving you a Self Care Package, love you!)

In their MARCH box we received the following:

  1. LONDON COFFEE BAG – personally I do not enjoy coffee but my dad certainly does and he was quite pleased with his little treat.
  2. MAZA CHOCOLATE – I do love a bit (or a lot of) chocolate and this was 100% noir so I knew it was going to be dark chocolate which does tend to be bitter, I prefer milk but I do like to have a bit of dark chocolate to feel that little bit healthier.
  3. BOOZI BODY CARE BODY WASH “CHEEKY WOO WOO” – this intrigued me because it reminded me instantly of an alcoholic drink (not a big drinker myself but still a sweet cocktail every now and then isn’t bad) so a body wash sounds nice (this smells GORGEOUS!)
  4. LAPEL YEAH “HAPPY EVERYTHING” PIN – I was confused mis-reading this at first thinking it said “Happy Birthday” but does seem quite random but cute. I do like the fact they add more than edible or beauty related items in there the odd chic or fashion item makes me smile (cos who doesnt love a surprise!).
  5. KNEIPP BATH CRYSTALS (VARIOUS ONES SENT OUT) – I received “Cold Season” and although I do like bath salts/crystals I have passed this one on to a family member who’d would appreciate it more than me.
  6. BEAUTY PAPIER “GREEN TEA BLOTTING PAPER” – I have seen YouTubers (like Mark Ferris / Zoe Sugg) using blotting papers but never thought to buy them to try but thank2017-03-24_22.21.25 you to both Beauty Papier AND PinkParcel for this opportunity.
  7. RIMMEL “THE ONLY ONE LIPSTICK” (VARIOUS SHADES SENT) – This is by far my FAVOURITE item in the box, I received the colour “Naughty Nude” and it is so moisturising I am definitely buying this again and maybe trying some more shades.
  8. DOVE PURE CARE DRY OIL SHAMPOO – I maybe don’t look after my hair as much as I should but I do not dye it or use heating tools on it constantly. This may be a good shampoo to use to help it look more nourished and soft but I have yet to try this product.
  9. All of the above and then the towels/tampons that you required. Actually this month I had a fault with the necessities that I received and had to contact their customer services but cannot fault them – the same day that they replied was the same day the correct items were sent (arriving 1-2 days later).

If you have any further questions then you can contact them via their website using this link which will take you straight to their “How It Works” page.

Soap N Skin – Lavender & Lime with Calendula Oil REVIEW

First of all I want to thank the wonderful PinkParcel Period Subscription box for giving me the opportunity to try and review this product. I received this in my February box and got very excited because I do love a little something to add to a bath to make it more fun or relaxing. We received a 50g sample to try.

I opened the lid and you can instantly smell the lavender, I do love a product with a strong ssoap-n-skin-2mell that will last so I had high hopes for this.

I followed the instructions on the tube and put a small spoon full into the bath; the lavender floated and the Himalayan crystal salts sank (and slowly dissolved) as expected but the scent wasn’t strong at all. I added more until I’d actually used about 25g and the scent wasn’t even noticeable for me.

When I got out of the bath I realised that my arms and legs had actually went quite red and patchy but I’m not 100% sure it was the product so won’t blame it. On a good note though my skin felt so soft and moisturised when I’d dried off, the redness also went away too (within about 30 minutes so it could of just been the temperature of the bath – oops!) Oh and I did realise that the bits of lavender did actually cling to the sides of the bath even after the water had all drained away but just a quicksoap-n-skin-during-and-after rinse afterwards and all was sorted.

I have actually gave the last 25g to a friend who I thought might like it. Although the product was nice it just wasn’t for me. (I’m more of a colourful bath bomb type of person – all natural is preferred)

Once I got into my pjs after this bath I did feel very relaxed and soothed I will admit so I suppose it does actually follow through with its promises.

Product is:

  • Handmade
  • Natural
  • SLS and PARABEN FREE
  • No synthetic colours or fragrances

If you do want to try this product for yourself then click on this link to go straight to the product on the SoapNSkin website.

If you want to sign up to the PinkParcel subscription box then click on this link to go straight to their “How it Works” page of the website – It’s only £10.50 per month (Including P&P) and only £6.99 for your first box!

December PINKPARCEL Squirrel Sisters – Cacao Orange Bar Review

In my December PINKPARCEL I received the Squirrel Sister Cacao Orange Raw Energy Bar and of course I was going to review it! It’s a fruit & nut brownie that I couldn’t wait to try (I took it into work the next day!)

squirrel-sister-cacao-orange

When I picked this out of the box I must say that I was very intrigued because I’ve not heard of Squirrel Sisters before AND I always love to see products which are free of things that I try to avoid in my food!squirrel-sister-cacao-orange-bars

This raw energy bar is:

  1. Gluten FREE
  2. Dairy FREE
  3. Grain FREE
  4. Vegan
  5. High Fibre
  6. Raw
  7. No Added Sugar
  8. 82 Calories (per bar)

Well that was impressive to read on the packet and for it to taste great too – really is a guilt free treat! I have actually been such a good blogger this time and managed to take a photo of the food BEFORE I’ve ate it – except I took the photo at work while at my desk and I work in a place that doesn’t allow you to have your phones out so it was a little rushed (if my managers are reading this…this photo was not taken at work!)

It basically tastes like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange but with Cashew nuts…so fair to say I enjoyed this (I did share it as well and my colleague agreed…we both enjoyed it to say the least). Oh and the little tray that it comes in had little squirrels around the outside and was super cute!

I didn’t click on until after I’d ate the bar but I love how their name is linked with Squirrels who like nuts and its a Cacao bar WITH nuts…am I the only one who sees the funny side of this?

I’d be more than happy if PinkParcel added more from Squirrel Sisters to the box so as always thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Leave comments with your thoughts, I appreciate them all!

December PINKPARCEL First Impressions

I am so happy with this months box, I am excited every month for my subscription boxes but if I had to only have 1 on the go forever I’d choose PINKPARCEL. I’ve never been disappointed with a box and anything that I’ve not been able to use (for whatever reason – my skin type/ product shades etc) I’ve been able to add to a giveaway for my followers or given to a friend so nothing goes to waste.

This subscription box is £10.50 (including P&P) per month and its ALWAYS worth it. You get some samples and some full size products to try as well as your monthly essentials (which you pick out while sorting out your account). This month we got such a variety: food, clothing, jewellery, facemask/skincare, candle and tea…how can anyone complain?

Here is a photograph of the contents of the “For You” section of the box:

overview-take-2

First Impressions:

  1. PINKPARCEL BRYT Socks – Never thought I’d be able to receive clothing in this subscription box so I was so overwhelmed with these cute PinkParcel socks which I cannot wait to wear (also tempted to buy another pair cos they’re just so adorable!!) I am loving how soft they are and how they’ve used their logo as the design – clever PPSquad!
  2. LOLA’S APOTHECARY Clementine Calamity Tea – I am loving trying the new types/brands of tea every month and I have actually went out and bought full boxes of some of them. I am looking forward to try this due to the Sunny Orange, fruity Apple and Honeybush flavours.
  3. SQUIRREL SISTERS Cacao Orange Raw Energy Bar – This bar is Gluten free, Dairy free, Grain free, High Fibre, Vegan and Raw…now if that doesn’t sound like a guilt free treat I don’t know what will! I am going to be taking this into work to avoid our chocolate counter/table (which never seems to be empty…I find it funny how we even use a fruit bowl to hold the loose chocolate packets).
  4. FUDGE KITCHEN Gingerbread Flavoured Fudge Dipped in Dark Chocolate – I am a great lover of fudge so I cannot wait to try this.
  5. THE VINTAGE COSMETICS COMPANY Blemish Wand – I have never heard of a Blemish Wand before so this was quite intriguing but I genuinely feel that with my Winter skincare routine as it is I haven’t had much to worry about this year so I will probably be adding this to my giveaway pile. The wand is Rose Gold (gorgeous and totally what I’d pick up in a shop).
  6. JEWELLERY BOX Bow Earrings – I don’t have pierced ears so I am gutted because these are super cute and if I did have pierced ears then I wouldn’t have a need for any others – simple and dainty…just what I like (also PinkParcel’s logo). I got the Silver ones (other people may have got the rose gold ones) these are going to be a stocking filler for someone I think – sad to see them go but happy that they’ll actually be worn.
  7. MUDMASKY Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask – MudMasky was the first EVER facemask I tried and still to this day after trying so many it’s definitely my favourite (besides sheet masks) and I stand by it. I am happy (to say the least) to receive another sample in a subscription box because GLOSSYBOX put one in a few months ago and now my second subscription box has began spreading the word…LOVE IT!
  8. SIMPLE CANDLE CO Fireside Wax Melt – Simple Candle Co are actually on my subscription box “Want List” (yes I have a list and there are so many but these are affordable and realistic so they’re high on my list of ones to try). I got the scent Fireside (made the whole PinkParcel box smell gorgeous when I opened it! Super excited to use and review this beauty! I’ve seen that a few other scents went out in the boxes so let me know which one you got and what you thought?
  9. AMIE Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish – I already use Amie’s Matte Finish Moisturizer so I am eager to try this because of how well that has helped my skin. Cannot wait to test and review!

I will have to say that (besides MudMasky as a current fave anyway) I was most excited about receiving the…socks in this months box! Such a lovely surprise.

Well they’re all the items I received in this month’s box…just to recap – I paid only  £10.50…click on this link to go straight to the PINKPARCEL website if you want to check it out, you won’t regret subscribing!

Thank you for reading, come back soon!

November PinkParcel – Carmex Moisturising Lip balm Review

In my November PinkParcel I received the CARMEX Moisturising Lip Balm. I haven’t tried anything from Carmex before but have seen a lot of their products. When it comes to lip carmexmoisturisers this time of year I just used to stick to my usual Vaseline or something like that but this month I’ve been hooked on this minty beauty!

When I first put this product on I didn’t quite expect the feeling I got a few seconds later but it felt great actually – basically as soon as I applied the mint smelling lip balm (good strong smell too) my lips began to tingle as if the lip balm was actively working, I can feel the difference. I do go between this and my new Forever Living – Aloe Lips (which is really good too, I’ve added a link there to go to my review for that product.)

This product was probably the least exciting in the box this month but I have been pleasantly surprised with the results (so well done to PinkParcel and Look Magazine to putcarmex-1 this in there!) Once this is used up I will probably get this again because the tingle sensation is nice, the size is perfect for even a small handbag and the smell is very fresh and mintycan’t really go wrong!

Price: £3.00 from Superdrug

If you want to try this product for yourself then you can either buy it in store, you may find it in many other stores like ASDA, Morrison, Boots etc too (the 3 stores that I am regularly in for most of my usual life products/food etc).

If you’re new to my blog then I shall inform you that PinkParcel is a period subscription box which is delivered monthly to your door, it’s brilliant! I love it! It truly is a present from me to me each month and it makes that certain time of the month much easier! It’s £6.99 for your first box and then after that it is £10.50 (Including P&P) each month. Personally, I feel that it is worth it for the money and you get to try a lot of different brands that you wouldn’t usually buy or even get to hear about!

November PinkParcel – OMBAR Chocolate Review

In my November PinkParcel I received the OMBAR Strawberry Mylk Chocolate. I have tried OMBARs Coconut & Vanilla and that was lovely! This is basically a healthy chocolate.ombar-chocolate

It even has natural antioxidants in so you can’t go wrong really can you. Personally I do prefer milk chocolate to white or dark but with knowing that dark chocolate is better for you and coming across this brand it is a guilt free way to eat chocolate. Also the small bars still kill the craving.

My only issue was that I wasn’t expecting it to be so bitter with a name like “Strawberry Mylk” but it was a little too much for me…(but if you can handle your dark chocolate though then this is perfect for you!)

I have listed a few of the positives towards not only this chocolate bar but probably very similar to other OMBAR chocolate bars:

  • Suitable for Vegans
  • Natural Antioxidants
  • 100% Organic Coco
  • Dairy Free
  • Source of Magnesium AND Manganese

If I was on better money then yes I would probably buy this chocolate because I’d rather be eating this than other chocolate which isn’t so good for you. The 35g sample that we receive is the perfect size to kick the craving! (I’d love to try their other flavours too, this is the second one I’ve been able to try and both have came from the wonderful PinkParcel so keep putting these in!)

I do have to apologise because I tend to make blogger boo boos when it comes to the food reviews because I always just get excited and scoff the lot before I take photos…I will do better next time!

Price: £1.99 per 35g (size shown in photo)

It’s £6.99 for your first box to try and then £10.50 (Including P&P) every month and I can tell you that I am more than happy to pay this every time because I think it’s sooo worth the money! Great quality brands, effort and customer service are put into this box! If you want to subscribe or are just debating then click on this link to go straight to their “How It Works” website page.

November PinkParcel – EYEKO Liquid Eyeliner Review

In my November PinkParcel I received the EYEKO Liquid Eyeliner and I am so happy that I got to try it. They did randomise some products in this months box due to their first ever eyeko-eyeliner-pencollaboration and they chose to do it with the amazing LOOK Magazine…this box has to be the best PinkParcel I’ve seen (I did a lot of research before subscribing) I am so impressed and you’d be an unlucky one to miss out on such a great box! They also included a full size LOOK Magazine on top of the box (and will continue to do so for the next 3 boxes – how awesome is that?!)

For those of you who don’t knowPinkParcel is a monthly period subscription box which I think is such a great idea! It always gives me something to look forward to every month! It’s £6.99 for your first box then it is £10.50 (Including P&P) every month after. In  my opinion it is well worth it for the money because they have a variety of towels and tampons etc. I ALWAYS  have something to make me smile now when I’m feeling low!

The same day that I got my PinkParcel for this month I knew I was going on a night out with my friends so decided this was a great time to attempt to do equal wings! I found it quite amusing actually how the packaging that actually holds the eyeliner pen securely in the box says “Never ask a girl with winged eyeliner why she’s late” – I know in the photo below my wings aren’t that big but still, trying to get them equal is a nightmare with any eyeliner for me (obviously I’m not a beauty guru or anything haha if you haven’t been able to tell…)

eyeko-eyeliner-nightout

To create this subtle “NIGHT OUT” look I used:

  • No7 Airbrush Away Primer
  • No7 Stay Perfect Foundation (Calico)
  • MUA Heaven & Earth Eyeshadow Palette (received in a GLOSSYBOX box)
  • COLLECTION Contour Kit
  • EYEKO Liquid Eyeliner
  • NuSkin Curling Mascara
  • L’Oréal Paris Double Extension Mascara
  • Forever Living Aloe Lips

This eyeliner went on so easily, so smooth and soft. I love how that night felt like it was the quickest and easiest I’ve ever put eyeliner on. I also felt on top of the world! It was very precise, it didn’t smudge and it a bold blackperfection. When I gain more confidence I may try a thicker line to create a bolder look. I highly recommend this eyeliner and I’ll definitely be purchasing this again.

November PinkParcel Overall Review

I’ve received my November PinkParcel (a period subscription box) which has been collaborated with Look Magazine which I’ve been super excited for! (I always love a magazine collab with any beauty box) Some of the items in this box have been randomized and this box felt heavier than usual because…they actually gave us this months Look Magazine too (some beauty boxes don’t usually add the magazine too I’ve noticed so PINKPARCEL IS AWESOME)!

Below shows a photograph showing all the items I received:

overall

First Impressions:

  1. CARNBY & CROSS Gemmotherapy Facemask – It’s made in the UK, has sleek packaging, everything is in English and clear instructions (I still always read them, just in case!). As you will know by now if you follow me on any social media site (or actually know me) I do love a good facemask – especially one worth £28.80 o-m-g cheese n sprinkles guys I usually pay about £1-£5!
  2. SEACRET Ultimate Hair Trio – Well I am so looking forward to trying these because it has a Mud shampoo, Mud Hair Mask AND a Hair Serum involved; if my hair doesn’t feel pampered and healthy after this then I’ll be shocked because it’s deep cleansing, mineral-rich reviving and nourishing! Oh and it’s PARABEN FREEHappy Times Are Here Again!
  3. OMBAR Strawberry Night Chocolate bar – We have received some Ombar Chocolate before in PinkParcel and I must say I really did enjoy it but once again the price is a little high for chocolate in my opinion but it is guilt free chocolate that tastes so yummy!
  4. EYEKO Skinny Liquid Eyeliner – I was actually going out the night I received the box so have already tried this product and it was so sleek, smooth and just perfection (full review will be posted soon).
  5. KORRES Bergamot Pear Body Milk – Smells so lovely and fresh, distributed all over the world I’m guessing via the amount of languages that are on the packaging (which is surprising because it’s only 40ml. Put a little bit on the back of my hand and I’ll just say that a little bit does go a long way. Also a lot more than just PARABEN FREE!
  6. NAILSINC The New White – I love the packaging but unfortunately I don’t suite pale colour nail polish so this is probably going to be going towards a giveaway or something – still happy to receive it though because it’s always nice to see things and get to look at brands you’ve not heard of.
  7. CARMEX Mint Moisturising Lip Balm – I have seen these all over and are cheap and very easy to get hold of in shops. I already do have a lot of lip balms on the go at the moment but I’ve never tried Carmex products before so I’ll give it a go. Smells super minty (obviously) and has a SPF 15.
  8. DRINK ME Chai Latte Spiced – We always get some sort of tea with this box (love it) and this months looks interesting to me. A Sweetened blend of tea, skimmed milk and spices. It is a shame though with this one because you can make it either with milk OR water – well what if I try it with milk and I don’t like, I won’t be able to try it with water and I may not want to buy it to try the other way – dilemma of a drama queen! It’s 99% CAFFEINE FREE and made in the UK.

Also in every box we do get a little black envelope containing advertisement cards/discount codes (some linking to products in the box – so I open this last). I love this feature of the box BUT for the past 3 months I’ve received one of the same discount codes for something I cant use. Also I’ve realised that I got about 6 in my first box and then got about 3 or less ever since – I’d like for this to increase again because I like reading these little adverts/information cards about charities, shops, subscriptions and all the discounts available.

This period subscription is £6.99 for your first box then £10.50 (Including P&P) every month until you choose to cancel.

If you want to subscribe to PinkParcel then if you click on this link to go straight to their website to find out “How It Works”.
